Basic Health Screening (CMP+CBC+UA)

Health Testing Centers offers a Basic Health Screening. Also, referred to as a Chemistry Panel, the screening analyzes how major organs like the nerves, heart, glands, liver and muscles are functioning. Since blood travels across the entire body as it provides nutrients, oxygen and removes waste; blood is a good indicator of present medical conditions. This screening includes the Comprehensive Metabolic Panel, Complete Blood Count with Differential and Urinalysis.

Comprehensive Metabolic Panel

The Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (CMP) examines how the body's major organs are functioning. It examines how the body is removing waste products, electrolyte levels, minerals, blood fat, glucose and proteins. Abnormalities in these levels can indicate the presence of a disease or the improper functioning or organs.

Complete Blood Count

The Complete Blood Count (CBC) with differential test screens asses the white blood count, red blood count, and checks the levels of iron within the body. Abnormal levels can confirm the presence of anemia, infection and other diseases. The CBC test also checks for the appropriate levels of hemoglobin and hematocrit.

Urinalysis

A urinalysis (UA) is an effective way to diagnosis many existing medical conditions. It can determine and measure levels of ketones, bacteria, protein, glucose and other medical conditions.

The Basic Health Screening offered at Health Testing Centers a good starting point to determine if further medical screening tests are necessary.
