The NMR Lipoprofile is the newest generation of cardiovascular diagnostic test measuring the size and number of LDL particles.

LDL or low-density lipoprotein is the "bad type of cholesterol. The size and volume of these particles is an often overlooked factor in cardiovascular health as these particles build up in the arteries causing increased risk of cardiovascular problems.

The NMR Lipoprofile uses nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) technology to provide a digital representation of the LDL molecules. The NMR LipoProfile test provides a more complete picture of cardiovascular risk than the standard lipid profile. With this more detailed analysis you can better plan an individualized approach to your cardiovascular health.  

Test results generally take from five to seven days.  The NMR Lipoprofile is a FASTING test.
