Health
Testing Centers offer the Essential Health Screen. This screening includes the
Comprehensive Metabolic
Panel (CMP), Complete Blood Count with Differential (CBC),Lipid Profile and
Urinalysis.
Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (CMP)
The Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (CMP) examines how the body's major organs
are functioning. It examines how the body is removing waste products,
electrolyte levels, minerals, blood fat, glucose and proteins. Abnormalities in
these levels can indicate the presence of a disease or the improper functioning
or organs.
Complete Blood Count (CBC) (with differential)
The Complete Blood Count with differential test screens asses the white blood
count, red blood count, and checks the levels of iron within the body. Abnormal
levels can confirm the presence of anemia, infection and other diseases. The
CBC test also checks for the appropriate levels of hemoglobin and hematocrit.
The lipid profile is a blood test that measures the total amount of cholesterol
in the body. Cholesterol is a fatty substance that can clog arteries. This test
checks for levels of HDL and LDL cholesterol. Too much LDL, bad cholesterol can
result in heart issues. Too little HDL, good cholesterol can cause the body to
function improperly. The test also checks for triglycerides.
Urinalysis (UA)
A urinalysis is a proven way to diagnosis medical conditions. It can measure
levels of ketones, bacteria, protein, glucose and other medical conditions.
The Essential Health Screening offered by Health Testing Centers combines the
most popular screening tests. The test is a good starting point to decide if
further testing is needed.
This is a FASTING test.
