Thyroid Function Test Level II

The Thyroid Function Test Level II is one of the Health Testing Centers̢‰ most comprehensive thyroid blood tests. It combines the Free T4 and Free T3 tests with the Thyroid Stimulating Hormone blood test. This panel of tests is extremely accurate in determining the presence of, or determining the effectiveness of thyroid gland treatments. The Thyroid Function Test Level II also includes the Thyroid Profile.

The thyroid produces two glands, the T3 and T4 glands. These hormones are produced by iodine that present in the foods we eat. Abnormal levels of Free T4 and Free T4 hormones are indicative of thyroid issues. A thyroid that does not produce enough hormones causes hypothyroidism. Thyroid glands that overproduce hormones cause hyperthyroidism. A body that produces improper amounts of thyroid hormones may cause a person to feel tired and experience weight loss or weight gain.

The Thyroid Function Test Level II is ideal for a person who has an enlarged thyroid gland or is experience any issues associated with either hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism.
