Urinalysis (UA) Results Explained

Following is an example of results of a urinalysis (UA). The reference interval indicates the “normal range” for each of the components and a flag (if present) indicates a specific result that has fallen outside of the normal range.

The UA is a proven combination of tests that serves as a primary tool of medical diagnosis. The urinalysis measures blood, bacteria, proteins, glucose, bilirubin, ketones, nitrates, leukocytes, sediment, PH and specific gravity.
